Join us for our January webinar in the Unlocking Knowledge Transfer series, as we discuss trends in patenting across Ireland and Europe.
A recent European Parliament report stated that “while intellectual property (IP) registrations are on the rise, the EU patent systems remain fragmented and gaps in enforcement still need to be addressed”. This webinar will examine the challenges ahead for patenting at an Irish and European level, from the proposals to establish an EU-wide unitary patent system to the development of technical standards underpinning patented technologies.
The webinar is aimed at the ‘small business’ community, entrepreneurs, knowledge transfer professionals and inventors.
Featured panelists:
- John Whelan - ICT Research Commercialisation Manager, Trinity College Dublin
- Margaret Lawlor – Life Sciences Case Manager, University of Limerick
- Dermot Roche – Patent Director, Secerna LLP
